The Blues made a brilliant start to the 2016-17 Premier League season after successive victories over West Ham United, Watford and Burnley.
The west London side stuttered in September after a 2-2 draw with Swansea City before defeats by Arsenal and Liverpool to hamper their title bid.
Chelsea returned to winning ways at the KCOM Stadium thanks to a 2-0 win at Hull City before Chelsea were 3-0 winners against reigning Premier League champions Leicester City.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s early kick-off in the Premier League in west London, former Chelsea manager Vialli described Conte’s biggest challenge at Stamford Bridge.
“I don’t think Antonio Conte will get it right immediately,” he told Sky Sports.
“It is a difficult challenge. He believes in the attitude of the players, he thinks that’s the most important thing.
“Antonio Conte’s challenge is to change the attitude of the Chelsea players. In the last couple of seasons, it hasn’t been good enough.”
Conte signed five players in the summer transfer window following his appointment earlier this year.
The Italian coach signed Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi and Leicester midfielder N’Golo Kante.
Chelsea also brought in Fiorentina full-back Marcos Alonso and Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Eduardo in August.
The Blues completed a £32m deal for Brazil defender David Luiz from Paris Saint-Germain on the final day of the transfer window.
