The Merseyside outfit have made a strong start to the new campaign under the German coach and head into Monday’s game three points ahead of their bitter local rivals.
The Reds endured a stuttering campaign last season as they ended up eighth in the Premier League and without a trophy despite reaching the Europa League and League Cup finals.
However, Klopp’s side have been one of the Premier League’s top teams this term and have already secured impressive victories over Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City.
And former Manchester United star Cole has admitted that he has been impressed by the impact Klopp has had at Liverpool since taking over from Brendan Rodgers last October.
Cole is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “I love what Liverpool have going forward. Attack-wise they are sexy. The goals can come from all over the park,” said Cole.
“Klopp has brought in Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge is England’s best centre-forward, then you have Robert Firmino, Coutinho and Adam Lallana.
“When you have got players like that you are going to create and score goals.”
Liverpool were 2-1 winners at Swansea City before the international break.
