The Gunners continued their fine form as they battled to a 3-2 win over Swansea City at The Emirates on Saturday to make it six wins in a row in the Premier League.
That result left the north London side second in the Premier League table and level on points with Manchester City after eight games of the new campaign.
Arsenal’s good form has inevitably led to suggestions that they could be on course to end their long wait for the Premier League title.
However, new Arsenal signing Mustafi insists that he and his team-mates are only focused on the next game as they prepare to welcome Ludogorets to The Emirates in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Speaking in an interview with Arsenal Player, Mustafi said: “I think there’s no point in thinking to far ahead. We just need to think day after day and game after game.
“We’re going to have a tough game on Wednesday as well, so we have to be prepared for that game.
“Sometimes when you think too far in the future, you forget about the present and then you lose points. That’s what we don’t want to do.”
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League but without a trophy under Arsene Wenger last season.
