The Gunners were 3-2 winners against Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon thanks to Theo Walcott’s first-half brace and Mesut Ozil’s third Premier League goal of the 2016-17 season.
Iwobi, who scored his first goal for the Nigeria national team during the international break, has made three assists in six top-flight games so far this season.
The African playmaker, who is the nephew of former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha, has established himself as a first-team regular under Arsene Wenger.
And Hargreaves believes Iwobi has helped to add another dimension to Wenger’s side after Arsenal notched up a sixth successive Premier League win in north London.
“The thing I like about Arsenal now is Alex Iwobi. He has been terrific,” Hargreaves told BT Sport.
“They have great athleticism in their forward line with Sanchez, Iwobi and Walcott. They have great pace.”
Arsenal are level on points with Premier League leaders Manchester City after Pep Guardiola’s side drew 1-1 with Everton at the Etihad Stadium.
Wenger signed five players in the summer transfer window, including Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka, Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi and Spanish forward Lucas Perez.
