Loris Karius has taken to social media to admit that he cannot wait for Liverpool’s blockbuster Premier League clash with Manchester United at Anfield on Monday night.

The goalkeeper will be hoping to retain his place in the starting line-up as Jurgen Klopp’s men prepare to welcome their bitter local rivals to Merseyside.

Liverpool head into the game in fine form and having already beaten the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester City so far this season.

A win for the Reds would move them level on points with Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table after eight games of the new campaign.

Karis joined the Reds from Mainz in the summer transfer window and clearly cannot wait for his first taste of one of the biggest games in European football.

The shot-stopper posted the picture above on his Instagram account on Sunday night and wrote: “Such a big game ahead of us! ⚽💥 I’m more than excited for tomorrow’s clash at Anfield! Let’s make it a special night 👊🏼💪🏼 #YNWA #LFCvMUFC #Focus #CantWait @liverpoolfc”
