Thierry Henry believes that N’Golo Kante will need to adapt his style of play at Chelsea following his summer transfer from Leicester City.

The midfielder earned plenty of praise last season for his performances for Leicester last season as he proved himself as one of the driving forces behind the Foxes’ title triumph.

Kante joined the Blues from the champions back in the summer transfer window and has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea team under new manager Antonio Conte.

Arsenal legend Henry was full of praise for Kante’s defensive performances, but the former striker believes that the midfielder will need to improve the creative aspect of his game at Chelsea.

Speaking on Sky Sports after Saturdays 3-0 win over Leicester, Henry said: “There is one thing that you need to understand: when he played for Leicester, he had protection. It is a different type of game.

“With Chelsea, sometimes he has to create. He to come out of his shell a bit more. He has to show different attributes that maybe we didn’t know that he had. He showed a bit against Leicester. But can he do more than that?”
