This surprising Eden Hazard stat will silence the Chelsea star’s critics

Eden Hazard has been in pretty good form for Chelsea since his transfer to the club from Lille back in 2012

Eden Hazard came in for plenty of criticism last season for his below-par performances for Chelsea as the Blues stumbled to a 10th-placed finish in the Premier League.

It was a remarkable dip in form for the Belgian, who just a year before had been the driving force behind Chelsea’s Premier League and League Cup double as he was voted the PFA player of the year.

Most of the Chelsea squad endured seasons to forget last term as the Blues suffered an inexplicable drop in form, which led to Jose Mourinho’s sacking back in December.

Hazard came under intense scrutiny for his below-par performances for the Blues, but the playmaker seems to be on his way towards rediscovering his top form for Chelsea this season.

The midfielder scored Chelsea’s second goal in their 3-0 win over Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

And that added to the impressive stat below, which may come as a surprise to the Chelsea playmaker’s detractors.

Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has scored 44 Premier League goals since his debut in August 2012, more than any other midfielder in the English top flight.
