Mesut Ozil was certainly made to feel special on Saturday as he celebrated his 28th birthday.

The Arsenal playmaker scored his side’s third goal to send Arsene Wenger’s men on their way to a 3-2 victory over Swansea City in the Premier League at The Emirates.

Ozil celebrated his 28th birthday on Saturday and as well as helping Arsenal move up to second place in the Premier League after securing their sixth win in a row, the German’s team marked the occasion by putting together a video montage of messages from his team-mates past and present.

Among those to send him birthday wishes were Liverpool midfielder Emre Can and former Arsenal star Lukas Podolski.

The clip also features Ozil’s reaction to the video as it was played to him for the first time.

Ozil shared the video above on his YouTube channel and then tweeted:

Ozil will be expecting to return to Champions League action with Arsenal on Wednesday night when Arsene Wenger’s men host Ludogorets in their next group game at The Emirates.
