Kurt Zouma sets out bold target for Chelsea this season

Kurt Zouma says Chelsea have the squad to challenge for both the FA Cup and Premier League this season

Kurt Zouma is convinced that Chelsea have what it takes to win the FA Cup and Premier League this season under new boss Antonio Conte.

The Blues have been in superb form in the Premier League this term and have build a five-point lead at the top of the table.

Chelsea are the firm favourites to win the title this season, despite seeing their 13-game winning run in the top flight ended by Tottenham last week.

Zouma made his return to first-team action for Chelsea when the Blues beat Peterborough 4-1 in the third round of the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

And the French defender believes that Chelsea have a squad capable of challenging for silverware on both domestic fronts this season.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea TV, Zouma said: “We have the team to do it. We want to win this cup. It’s one of our targets.

“It was really good for everybody who played, to show that we are still here and want to play also.

“We have a very good squad – that’s why the manager can make changes. Everybody is doing a great job.”
