Anthony Martial has paid tribute to the Manchester United supporters after Jose Mourinho’s side eased to a 2-0 win against Hull City in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final.

The France international got on the score sheet in Manchester United’s 4-0 victory over Reading in the FA Cup third round at the weekend but it wasn’t enough to secure a starting spot for the visit of the Tigers.

However, Martial came off the bench to help the Red Devils make the breakthrough through Juan Mata in the second half before Marouane Fellaini doubled the home side’s advantage in the final minutes at Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to secure a starting spot for the visit of Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Martial is certainly feeling the love from the club’s supporters after he posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“Good win yesterday and thanks to all fans for your amazing support yesterday 👏🏾👏🏾”

Martial moved to Manchester United from Monaco in a £36m deal in 2015.
