Cohen Bramall will wear the number 85 shirt at Arsenal after his transfer to the north London club this week, according to reports.

The left-back is not expected to feature for Arsenal’s first team any time soon, but The Daily Mirror is reporting that he has already chosen his somewhat surprising shirt number.

The 20-year-old defender signed for the Gunners on Tuesday afternoon as he became Arsenal’s first signing of the January transfer window.

Arsenal said in a statement on Tuesday that Bramall would join up with the club’s Under-23 squad after completing his transfer.

The north London side are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Swansea City on Saturday afternoon as they look to get back to winning ways in the top flight.

The Gunners came from three goals down to earn a 3-3 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League in their most recent top-flight outing last week.
