Antoine Griezmann’s advisor has fuelled the speculation linking Manchester United with a summer swoop for the Frenchman by admitting that a move to Old Trafford would be “ideal” for the player.

After a quiet January transfer window, the speculation linking Manchester United with a number of summer swoops is expected to gather pace in the coming weeks and months.

Griezmann has long been touted as as possible transfer target for Manchester United but there is yet to be announce official announcement from either club.

Manchester United were heavily linked with a bid for Griezmann over the summer but a move failed to materialise for the Red Devils.

However, the player’s advisor Sebastien Bellencontre has now fuelled talk of a possible summer switch for Griezmann by admitting that a transfer could be perfect for his client.

Bellencontre told So Foot magazine, as quoted by Metro: “When I see articles on a move to Manchester United, I have to say this would be an ideal scenario in marketing.

“He would play at Beckham’s former club, which is his idol, with the same legendary number on his back.

“Beyond sports, the [Paris] Saint-Germain would be interesting at Franco-French level, but he already has international trajectory with the selection.”
