Antonio Conte has warned Chelsea that Arsenal are still in the Premier League title race ahead of the London derby at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners suffered a surprise 2-1 loss to Watford at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night to squander their chance to move to within six points of the leaders ahead of their short trip to west London.

On what was ultimately a good night for Chelsea in the Premier League title race, Conte’s side managed to secure a credible 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield thanks to David Luiz’s superb opener.

Chelsea are now nine points clear of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the title race ahead of their clash against Arsene Wenger’s men in the Premier League’s early kick-off at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking at his post-match media conference after Chelsea’s 1-1 stalemate with Liverpool at Anfield, Conte warned his Blues players that Arsenal can still win the title and are capable of beating the leaders after their 3-0 win over his side at The Emirates in September.

“For sure we face another great team, because Arsenal can fight for the title. Don’t forget in the previous game we lost 3-0 away. This could be a good chance for us to show that now we are a totally different team if you compare to the previous game,” Conte said.

“It will be another tough game, but we play at home, and this is very important. This week is very important for us, and we want to finish this week in the right way by preparing very well for this Arsenal game.”
