The Gunners head into the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against the Bundesliga side fresh from their 2-0 win over Hull City at The Emirates in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
That victory was a welcome one for the Gunners, who had lost back to back games to Chelsea and Watford before that to leave their title hopes in tatters.
Bayern will be the heavy favourites to claim victory against the Gunners at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.
However, former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp feels that Arsenal could lay down a marker for the rest of the season by beating the Bundesliga side next week.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Arsenal’s win over Hull on Saturday, Redknapp said: “A good performance at Bayern Munich might be a season-changer for them.
“Don’t get me wrong, Bayern will not be looking at Arsenal and fearing them.
“But they need something, a bit of confidence from somewhere, and it may come from a result against Bayern Munich.”
Arsenal are currently nine points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea ahead of the Blues’ trip to Burnley on Sunday.
