Henrikh Mkhitaryan has heaped praise on Jose Mourinho, describing the Manchester United manager as a “special” coach.

Mkhitaryan is currently getting used to life at Old Trafford following his transfer to the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

The Armenia international made a stuttering start to life at Manchester United last year but has since found his feet in the Premier League and produced a number of top performances for the Red Devils.

Mkhitaryan was named man of the match as he helped Manchester United claim a 3-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium last weekend.

And the playmaker has lifted the lid on what it has been like working under Mourinho at Old Trafford over the last few months.

Mkhitaryan told Bild: “I believe that he has trust in me.

“That’s why I always want to give my best on the pitch for him.

“He’s a special coach and expects special things, you just need to know that.”
