The Red Devils head into the game under pressure to return to winning ways after having drawn their last three Premier League games in a row.
Jose Mourinho’s men were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Hull City at Old Trafford in midweek as the Red Devils dropped more points in the race for Champions League qualification.
Manchester United will be keen to try and return to winning ways when the Red Devils take on Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
However, Red Devils playmaker Mkhitaryan has warned his team-mates that they are in for a stern examination of their top-four credentials against Claudio Ranieri’s men.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Mkhitaryan said: “Everyone was impressed last season but this is football. They were ready to fight, ready to win and they won the title.
“This year is a little bit difficult for them because it is always easy to win the league but it is difficult to keep it.
“Maybe they have some problems, maybe they are already a little bit relaxed so they are not in the best position for themselves.
“It doesn’t matter which position they are in now, they are going to play every game as a final because they are in a dangerous position. Sunday will be a big fight, a big battle, so we have to be ready for that.”
Manchester United finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season.
