Ian Wright has suggested that Arsene Wenger has given his clearest indication yet that he will be leaving Arsenal at the end of the season.

The Gunners boss has found himself under renewed pressure in recent weeks after his side slumped to back to back defeats by Watford and Chelsea in the Premier League.

Those losses have left the Gunners considerably off the pace in the race for the title and with an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League.

Wenger’s situation is likely to be the source of a lot of speculation in the coming weeks and months as he approaches the end of his contract at The Emirates.

Now, Arsenal legend Wright has claimed that he got the impression that Wenger will be leaving the north London club at the end of the season after spending some time with him in recent days.

Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live before Arsenal’s clash with Hull on Saturday: “I was with the boss last night and if I’m going to be be totally honest I get the impression that that’s it.

“I genuinely believe, I was with him for a few hours last night and we’re talking and obviously he didn’t say to me ‘I’m leaving at the end of the season’ but you get that feeling simply because I just get the impression in him and looking at him that’s it. I think that’s it.

“He actually mentioned while we were talking last night that it’s coming to the end – I’ve never heard him say that.”
