The 31-year-old midfielder has endured a tough season under Jose Mourinho after being deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford despite his vast experience.
Schweinsteiger was sent to train with the club’s Under-23’s side before he was brought back into the side from his exile in November and made a flurry of substitute appearances.
Mourinho handed the German legend his first start of the season in the FA Cup fourth round last weekend and the defensive scored the home side’s fourth goal in a 4-0 win.
Like Schweinsteiger, Rashford has found his starting opportunities limited this term, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s arrival bumping the young striker down the pecking order.
However, former Arsenal striker Wright believes Schweinsteiger will be a positive influence on Rashford in the Manchester United squad.
“They should look at players like Bastian Schweinsteiger and realise that’s how you’re supposed to act. Youngsters like Marcus Rashford will only benefit from people like Schweinsteiger being around,” Wright told BBC Radio’s 606 show.
Rashford scored eight times in 18 games in all competitions last season in his breakthrough campaign at Old Trafford.
