Jamie Redknapp has praised N’Golo Kante for the impact he has had at Chelsea this season following his arrival at Stamford Bridge last summer.

The French midfielder has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea team since his move to Stamford Bridge after helping to guide Leicester to the Premier League title last season.

Kante has scored one goal in 22 games for Chelsea in the Premier League this season to help them build a nine-point lead at the top of the table.

The midfielder will be expecting to feature Chelsea when they take on bitter local rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.

And Redknapp has been very impressed by the impact Kante has had at Stamford Bridge following his arrival at the club in the summer.

Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “N’Golo Kante has obviously played a big part in their improvement this season.

“After playing a key role in Leicester’s title win he appears to be doing the same for Chelsea.

“Remarkably, he’s lost just six Premier League games since the start of last season.”
