The Gunners are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months following their slump in form in recent games, as the summer transfer window draws ever nearer.
Manchester City goalkeeper Hart is currently on loan to Serie A side Torino after being deemed surplus to requirements at The Etihad by new boss Pep Guardiola.
There have been reports in the British media linking Arsenal with a possible swoop for Hart as Arsene Wenger searches for a long-term replacement for Petr Cech at The Emirates.
However, former Gunners star Lehmann, who was part of the famous Invincibles side in the 2003-04 season, believes that Arsenal do not yet need a replacement for Cech at The Emirates.
Asked if Arsenal should sign Hart, Lehmann told talkSPORT: “No.
“I wouldn’t. Petr Cech is not too old. He’s maturing.
“Dropping him for the Bayern Munich game is a decision I don’t understand.”
Arsenal are currently gearing up for their FA Cup clash with Sutton United on Monday night after their humiliating 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.
