Jose Mourinho admitted that his Manchester United team must improve in the wake of their goalless draw with Hull City in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils were held to a frustrating stalemate by the Tigers at Old Trafford as they failed to capitalise on dropped points from most of their rivals.

The result left Manchester United languishing in sixth place in the Premier League table and a staggering 14 points behind leaders Chelsea heading into this weekend’s round of games.

Mourinho was clearly frustrated by his side’s lack of cutting edge and delivered a blunt verdict on the result after the game.

Mourinho told the club’s website: “To end the story I want to be simple: it was 0-0, a great point for them, congratulations, a bad point for us, we have to keep going because we have another game at the weekend.”

Manchester United will now look to return to winning ways when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
