Ander Herrera has admitted that Chelsea deserve their position at the top of the Premier League table this season.

The Blues have been by far the standout team in the Premier League this season and have established themselves as the firm favourites to win the title.

Antonio Conte’s men are currently flying high at the top of the table and are nine points clear of second-placed Tottenham after 24 games.

Chelsea thrashed Manchester United 4-0 when the two teams met at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season.

And Spanish midfielder Herrera concedes that the Blues deserve their position at the top of the table following their sparkling form.

Herrera is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “The game that we deserved to lose clearly was Chelsea, so Chelsea so far has been the best team.

“They are very compact. They are very difficult to beat and they have been clear in the things that they have to do.

“I think they deserve to be first, to be honest.”

Manchester United are currently gearing up for their Premier League clash against Watford at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
