Matteo Darmian admits that Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez are the best opposition players he has ever faced in the Premier League.

The Manchester United midfielder has come up against a number of the Premier League’s top attackers following his transfer to Old Trafford from Torino in 2015.

Hazard has been in superb form for Chelsea this season and his fine displays have helped the Blues build a nine point lead at the top of the table.

Sanchez, meanwhile, has warned a reputation as of the Premier League’s top attacking players since his arrival at Arsenal from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.

And Darmian admits that the Arsenal and Chelsea stars are probably the best attacking players he has come up against.

The defender told Manchester United’s official website: “There are a lot of very good players.

“We have a lot of very good players in our team as well – but if I have to choose one from another team, I think it’s maybe Eden Hazard or Alexis Sanchez.”
