Paul Ince has told Manchester United to go all out and sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid this summer.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a bid to bring the France international to Old Trafford in recent weeks as Jose Mourinho starts to think about bolstering his Manchester United squad in the summer.

Manchester United were one of the Premier League’s biggest spending teams last season as they moved to bring in the likes of Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan following Mourinho’s appointment at Old Trafford.

It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will table an official bid for Griezmann in the summer months.

However, Manchester United legend Ince says he would love to see the Red Devils try and bring the France star to the Premier League.

Writing in his blog for Paddy Power, Ince said: “They desperately need another goal scorer as they can’t constantly rely on Zlatan Ibrahimovic to find the onion bag.

“Antoine Griezmann would be a brilliant option.

“However, even if Atletico Madrid are willing to sell him, United are naïve to think they will be the only team in England in for him.

“If they don’t secure Champions League this season then it may be tough to draw Griezmann, and other quality players like him to Old Trafford.”
