Chris Smalling took to social media to congratulate Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan for their performances after Manchester United’s impressive 3-0 win over Leicester on Sunday.

Goals from Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mata wrapped up the three points and a comfortable win for Jose Mourinho’s men as the Red Devils got their top-four bid back on track with a much-needed win.

The victory left the Red Devils in sixth place in the Premier League table and a point behind fifth-placed Liverpool as Mourinho looks to steer Manchester United into next season’s Champions League.

And Smalling was clearly impressed by both Mata and Mkhitayan’s combination for the third goal as Manchester United claimed an impressive win on Sunday.

Smalling posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account after the game and wrote the caption: “What an emphatic performance by the boys today 🙌🏽. Micki & Mata for the 3rd goal, absolutely different class 🙊and the lads were faultless!

“A clean sheet, a cheeky assist 😌 and 3 points in the bag 😁😎💪🏽 #GGMU #MUFC”
