David Luiz caught up with his former Paris Saint-Germain, and reported Chelsea transfer target, Marco Verratti this week after being given some time off by the Blues.

The Brazilian defender has been one of the Premier League’s standout players since his return to Stamford Bridge from PSG in the summer transfer window.

Luiz has been a regular fixture in Antonio Conte’s team and his fine performances have helped the Blues establish themselves as the firm favourites to win the title this season.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Verratti in the past as Conte considers bolstering his attacking options at Stamford Bridge ahead of the summer transfer window.

And Luiz looked happy to be catching up with his former team-mate on Monday after being given some time off by his club, if the picture above is anything to go by.
