John Terry has taken to social media to heap praise on David Luiz after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Tuesday night.

The Brazilian defender opened the scoring in the 21st minute at Anfield with a superb dipping free-kick which caught out Simon Mignolet in the Liverpool goal.

However, Chelsea battled back and were level in the 57th minute when Georginio Wijnaldum headed home from inside the box.

Diego Costa missed the chance to wrap up the three points for Antonio Conte’s men when he missed a late penalty at Anfield.

However, the Blues held on to take all three points and move a step closer towards winning the Premier League title this term.

Chelsea captain Terry posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account after the game and wrote the caption: “What a free kick from @davidluiz_4 tonight ⚽️

“Good result and unbelievable work rate from everyone 👊🏻 Well done boys @chelseafc

“Great away support from the Chelsea fans, safe journey home and Saturday we go again.”
