Kurt Zouma has taken to social media to thank the Chelsea medical staff for their hard work during his recovery from injury.

The French defender suffered a serious knee injury during Chelsea’s clash with Manchester United in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge a year ago and has only recently returned to action for the Blues.

It was a long and tough road to recovery for Zouma, who had to undergo surgery to correct the knee problem after suffering it last February.

However, the defender has recently returned to action for Antonio Conte’s men and will be hoping to hold down a regular spot in the Chelsea first team in the coming weeks and months.

Zouma was clearly feeling grateful at the way he was looked after by the Chelsea medical staff on Tuesday, as he posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account.

He shared the snap and wrote the caption: “On this day last year i had my injury it’s been a long way to come back but i’m really happy and proud to be back 🙏🏿 thanks to the @chelseafc medical staff for the incredible rehab and fans for your amazing support 💪🏾 may god blesses you all ! 🙏🏿 #lazoumance #hamdulilah #allahisgreat”
