Sir Alex Ferguson seemed to approve of what he seeing as Manchester United boosted their top-four hopes with a 3-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils headed into the game desperately searching for a victory after a run of three draws on the spin in the top flight.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan set the Red Devils on their way towards victory when he coolly slotted home in the 42nd minute.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic made it 2-0 shortly after with a solid finish from inside the box after being found by Antonio Valencia.

Juan Mata then made it 3-0 in the 49th minute at the King Power Stadium as he finished from Mkhitaryan’s through-ball.

The result was a welcome one for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side and former Red Devils boss Ferguson was in the stands to watch his old team claim three Premier League points.
