Kevin Kilbane has launched a scathing attack on Paul Pogba following the Frenchman’s recent subdued performances for Manchester United.

The Frenchman has made a mixed start to life back at Old Trafford following his £89m transfer to Manchester United from Juventus in the summer.

Pogba has failed to produce consistent performances for Jose Mourinho’s men, with the Red Devils struggling to find form in the Premier League this term.

The midfielder will be expecting to feature for Mourinho’s men when the Red Devils take on Leicester City in the Premier League at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

However, Kilbane has been less than impressed by what he has seen from the world-record signing in recent weeks.

Speaking on Football Focus, Kilbane said: “It’s the basics that he is not doing right.

“I think it’s affecting him when he is missing these chances when he’s not getting himself beyond [the defence] I feel.

“It’s the five and 10 yard passes that’s where he is really letting himself down, consistently across the board this season, not good enough.”

Manchester United head into their clash with Leicester City a staggering 17 points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea and with it all to do in the race for a top-four finish.
