Antonio Conte has an amazing ability to transfer his ideas onto the football pitch which has led to Chelsea’s success under their new manager, according to Fabrizio Ravanelli.

The Blues manager took over the reins at the west London side in the summer after Chelsea limped to a tenth-place finish under interim manager Guus Hiddink in the 2015-16 season.

Conte signed five players in the summer transfer window, including the £32m signing of Brazil international David Luiz from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

The Chelsea manager made the decision to switch to a 3-4-3 formation in September and Conte’s men haven’t looked back since that result after winning 15 of their last 16 games in the Premier League.

The west London outfit played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday night to make sure Conte’s side remained on course for the Premier League title.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ about his former Juventus team-mate and current Chelsea manager, Ravanelli was full of praise for Conte.

“I am sure because Chelsea has a fantastic team and is a fantastic club,” Ravanelli said. “But mainly I am sure because of Antonio. All of his teams have the same mentality. You see it. On the pitch they try to win every duel with their adversary.

“I went to Cobham recently and saw the organisation at the training ground. It’s the Antonio mentality. He watches hours of video, loves studying tactics and has this amazing ability to get his ideas onto the pitch. It is not easy to do that but he gets the best from every player.”
