The Blues are the clear favourites to lift the top-flight trophy in May after a brilliant start to the campaign under new boss Antonio Conte.
Chelsea stretched their lead at the top of the Premier League table to nine points on Tuesday night when they played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
The west London side are now gearing up for their crunch clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.
And former Liverpool star McManaman claimed that the Blues looked “comfortable” during their draw with the Reds at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Speaking on BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show, McManaman said: “Even though they dropped points at Liverpool, they never look like they’re going to concede goals.
“They haven’t got many mistakes in them. The spine is so strong.
“They looked comfortable against Liverpool and always looked as if they were in control. They went to Anfield not to lose and they looked really strong.”
Current leaders Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League and without a trophy last season following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
