The Brazilian defender has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Blues since returning to the west London club from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.
Luiz has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea team this term and has been one of the key players in the Blues’ 3-4-3 formation.
The defender will be expecting to feature for the Blues when they host bitter local rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
And Henry has heaped praise on Conte for showing the insight to bring Luiz back to Chelsea in the summer and successfully integrate him into his team.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning, Henry said: “You have to give Antonio Conte credit because he put a tactic out there that was going to make all the players look good rather than suspicious.
“Basically putting the man in the middle, and this is not the guy that needs to step out.
“Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta go and he has to stay there, so he knows even more so than before that he cannot make a mistake.
“Also, the guy can mature. If you saw me play when I was 20 I was a loose cannon, I used to run everywhere and not do what the game was asking me to do at times, then at 28 I wasn’t the same player. So you have to give credit to him too.
“Yes he made mistakes when he arrived in the Premier League, but he did well at Paris Saint-Germain, then you look at what he won.
“He won the Champions League, the Europa League, went to PSG and won trophies, and he is coming back and might win the league. So he must be doing something right.”
Chelsea head into their clash with Arsenal nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
