Michael Owen is tipping Michy Batshuayi to fire Chelsea to victory over Wolves in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday night.

The Blues head into the game looking to continue their fine domestic form this season under new boss Antonio Conte.

Chelsea are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table and have firmly established themselves as the favourites to win the title this season.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea from Marseille last summer but has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the Blues’ first team since his move.

Indeed, the striker is yet to make a single Premier League start for Chelsea this season, despite featuring 16 times as a substitute in the top flight.

Batshuayi has featured in both of Chelsea’s FA Cup clashes so far this season and former Liverpool striker Owen is expecting to see the Belgian striker find the net for the Blues on Saturday night.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “The last side to knock out Liverpool and Chelsea in the FA Cup in the same season was Barnsley back in the 2007-08 season but I can’t see Wolves joining the Tykes.

“Paul Lambert’s sides form has dipped in recent games losing their last three in the Championship including back-to-back 1-0 home losses to Newcastle and to Wigan earlier in the week.

“Chelsea are unlikely to make as many changes as many of the top clubs given they have no European engagements to worry about but I expect Michy Batshuayi to get a start and he is taken to make the most of his opportunity.”
