Arsene Wenger says he plans to make an announcement about his Arsenal future very soon

Arsene Wenger has insisted that he plans to make an announcement about his Arsenal future very soon.

The Gunners boss found himself under fresh pressure on Saturday afternoon after watching his side slump to a 3-1 loss to West Brom in the Premier League at The Hawthorns in the Premier League.

That result left Arsenal fifth in the Premier League table and 19 points behind Chelsea, who won at Stoke later in the day.

Wenger has found himself under intense pressure in recent weeks following his side’s stuttering form and the Gunners have now lost four of their last five Premier League games.

The Frenchman’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and it remains to be seen whether he will extend his stay at The Emirates beyond the summer.

And speaking at his post-match news conference on Saturday, Wenger delivered an update about his future.

He said: “You will soon know. Very soon, but I’m not necessarily worried about my future right now, when we are in a unique bad patch where we haven’t been for 20 years.”
