Gary Lineker has taken to social media to have his say after Gary Cahill scored a late winner to hand Chelsea a dramatic 2-1 victory over Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues took the lead in the 13th minute at the Britannia Stadium thanks to Willian’s opener, with the Brazilian starting in the place of the injured Eden Hazard.

But Mark Hughes’ Stoke side levelled in the 33rd minute when Jon Walters converted his penalty after Cahill’s foul in the box.

However, it was the Chelsea defender who had the final say when he slammed home a loose ball in the 87th minute to wrap up victory for Antonio Conte’s men and keep the west London side on track for the title.

Former England star Lineker tweeted after the winner: “Cahill scores a late one for Chelsea and Antonio Conte swings from the roof of the dugout.”

The win left Chelsea 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Southampton on Sunday.
