Jamie Redknapp is tipping both Arsenal and Manchester United to miss out on top-four finishes in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal suffered a fresh blow to their hopes of finishing in the top four this season when they lost 3-1 to West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.

That loss was the Gunners’ fourth in five games and left them in sixth place in the Premier League table as they bid to claw their way back into contention for a top-four finish.

Manchester United, meanwhile, appear to be on the rise as they moved up into fifth place in the table thanks to their 3-1 win over Middlesbrough on Sunday.

However, former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp is tipping both the Gunners and the Red Devils to miss out on top-four finishes this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “I think Arsenal will miss out [on the top four], possibly United as well.

“From Liverpool’s point of view to keep that run going against the top sides is fantastic.

“Now though you are in the lap of the gods. You hope all your players come back from international duty fresh and with no injuries because there are so many important games to come.”
