Martin Keown is backing Manchester City to claim a 3-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds head into the game after having had a free week to prepare for the game following their 2-1 win over Burnley at Anfield last weekend.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are bidding to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of their Champions League exit at the hands of Monaco in midweek.

Liverpool are aiming to break back into the top four this season and head into this weekend’s round of fixtures in fourth place in the table as Jurgen Klopp bids to steer the Reds to Champions League qualification.

However, former Arsenal defender Keown is expecting to see Pep Guardiola’s men get back to winning ways by beating the Reds at The Etihad on Sunday.

Writing in his column for The Daily Mail, Keown said: “This another play-off for the top four and both teams will be looking over their shoulder.

“Liverpool have not won on the road in the Premier League since December and I expect Manchester City to win this one 3-1.”

Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League table last season under Klopp.
