Pedro Rodriguez has claimed that Eden Hazard is Chelsea’s best player.

The Belgian missed Saturday’s victory over Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium due to injury as Gary Cahill struck a late winner.

Hazard has been in fine form for the west London club this season and has earned plenty of praise for his performances for Antonio Conte’s men this term.

The 26-year-old is currently sidelined with a calf injury but has scored 11 goals and made four assists in 26 Premier League games for the Blues this season.

And Pedro feels that Hazard is Chelsea’s key man under new boss Conte.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Pedro said of Hazard: “When he plays well, the team plays well

“He is the best player here. He is a star, a different player, good dribbling skills and he always makes the difference in the games.

“He is probably the best player in the team.”

Chelsea fans will be hoping that Hazard will have shaken off his calf injury in time to be fit for the Blues’ Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on 1 April.

The Blues are the heavy favourites to win the title this season.
