Sanchez scored Arsenal’s equaliser in the first half but was forced off after the break with an ankle injury as the north London side slumped to a demoralising defeat.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said Sanchez’s ankle was in a “terrible state” after Saturday’s game and it remained to be seen whether the Chilean would report for international duty.
However, his latest post on Instagram seems to suggest that Sanchez is planning on playing for his country in their World Cup qualifier against Argentina on Thursday.
Sanchez posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “The only failure is not to try… ⚽️ 🇨🇱”
Sanchez has been by far Arsenal’s standout performer this season, with the Chilean having scored 18 goals and made nine assists in the Premier League for the Gunners so far this season.
It remains to be seen whether the 28-year-old will extend his contract at Arsenal beyond the summer of 2018, when his current deal is set to expire.
It is worth keeping close to FootballBets.tips for the latest betting odds and match previews during the forthcoming international break.
Arsenal are next in Premier League action when they take on Manchester City at The Emirates on 2 April.
The Gunners finished second in the Premier League and without a trophy last season but are currently fifth in the table and facing an uphill battle to secure Champions League qualification this season.
