Ander Herrera has taken to social media to praise his Manchester United team-mates’ performance after the Red Devils secured a 3-1 win at Middlesbrough on Sunday.

The Spanish midfielder did not feature for Jose Mourinho’s men at The Riverside Stadium due to the suspension he picked up as a result of his sending off against Chelsea last week.

Goals from Marouane Fellaini, Jesse Lingard and Antonio Valencia wrapped up the three points for the Red Devils and moved Manchester United up to fifth place in the table and two points above fourth-placed Arsenal.

And Herrera was clearly thrilled to see his Manchester United team-mates claim victory in style heading into the international break.

Red Devils midfielder Herrera posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: :Very proud of the team, great team effort just 48 h after the last game, congratulations boys 🔴👍🏼 @manchesterunited”
