Thibaut Courtois has warned his Chelsea team-mates that the competition for the title will be much stronger next season.

The Blues took another step towards winning the top-flight crown this season on Saturday when they left it late to secure a dramatic 2-1 win over Stoke at the bet365 Stadium.

Chelsea are flying 10 points clear at the top of the table and are the heavy favourites to win the trophy this season.

However, the Belgian goalkeeper says the Blues are already thinking about next season and how they can assert their dominance in Antonio Conte’s second season in charge.

Courtois is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “We’ve just got to keep on winning games, being at the top of the Premier League, because maybe the league will be tougher next season.

“It depends on others but I think next season [again] we can have a big say in the Premier League and the Champions League so we’ll be fine.”

Chelsea’s next Premier League game is a home clash against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on 1 April.

The west London side’s upturn in form this season has been in stark contrast to their struggles last term, when they ended up 10th and without a trophy.
