The Daily Mail is reporting that the Reds are finally close to completing the signing of the Egyptian winger after days of relentless speculation linking him with a move to Anfield.
The same report states that the Italian club had initially demanded a fee of around £39m for Salah but are now set to settle on a deal for £35m including add-ons.
The story also claims that Roma need to sell a certain amount of players by 30 June to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, meaning that a switch to Anfield for Salah could be concluded next week.
Former Chelsea winger Salah was one of Roma’s top performers last season as he helped them to finish second in Serie A behind champions Juventus.
The 25-year-old is one of only a handful of players in Europe’s top five leagues to have notched up double figures in terms of both goals and assists last season.
Liverpool are preparing for a return to the Champions League after they finished fourth last season.
