PSV Eindhoven striker Jurgen Locadia has admitted that he dreams of one day playing for Manchester United.

The 23-year-old Dutch striker is highly-rated in his native homeland and will be sure to catch the eye of Premier League clubs if he continues his development at PSV.

The forward missed most of last season due to injury but scored three goals and made three assists in 14 games for the Dutch side last term.

And the forward has admitted that he would like to follow a similar path to his compatriot Georginio Wijnaldum, who left PSV to join Newcastle, before signing for Liverpool.

Locadia told Dutch public broadcaster NOS, as quoted by the Daily Express: “Manchester United is my dream, but via an intermediate step.

“I like the path Georginio Wijnaldum has walked, from Newcastle United to Liverpool.”

Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Jose Mourinho prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.

The Red Devils, however, have only thus far officially confirmed the signing of defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.

Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League last season but won the EFL Cup and Europa League.
