Andrea Belotti could cope with the pressure of playing in the Premier League if Manchester United conclude a deal to sign the Torino striker, according to Alejandro Moreno.

The Red Devils have been linked with a lucrative move to sign the Italy international in the 2017 summer transfer window.

Belotti has been linked with Serie A giants AC Milan and Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain as Manchester United face serious competition to sign the Italian.

The 23-year-old scored 26 times in 35 games in Serie A appearances last season to finish as the division’s top goal-scorer and capture the attention of Europe’s big clubs.

Torino’s president has slapped a staggering £88m price tag on Belotti to warn off potential suitors this summer.

There has been a suggestion that Belotti could struggle to cope with the pressure of playing in the Premier League considering this was his first breakthrough season at Torino – but Moreno feels he could cope.

“Manchester United are a much bigger club than Torino,” Moreno told ESPN FC.

“[But] there is less pressure in Premier League because you don’t have the fans turning up training or booing you as soon as something goes wrong.

“He has played for Italy, which is a higher standard and has coped with it.”

Manchester United won the Europa League crown thanks to a 2-0 win against Dutch giants Ajax which secured a return to the Champions League next term.

The Red Devils also won the Community Shield and the EFL Cup in their first season under Jose Mourinho.
