Cristiano Ronaldo has instructed his agent to try and secure him a sensational transfer back to Manchester United this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that Ronaldo has told his agent Jorge Mendes to “do everything possible” to seal a “dream” return to Old Trafford.

The story claims that Ronaldo’s future at Real Madrid has been a source of speculation since he was accused of tax fraud by the Spanish authorities.

The article also states that Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are all potentially interested in Ronaldo – but the 32-year-old wants to return to Manchester United.

Ronaldo is said to be “keen” on a return to Manchester United and has left it with his agent to try and thrash out a deal.

However, the same story claims that Ronaldo will have to repair his relationship with Jose Mourinho to make the move happen.

The pair are said to have “fallen out” during Mourinho’s final season at Real Madrid but they are both represented by agent Mendes.

Manchester United fans would surely welcome the return of a club icon, but it remains to be seen whether a deal can be thrashed out.
