The Sky Sports News reporter has claimed that Arsenal have already had multiple bids for Lemar rejected by Monaco as Arsene Wenger looks to try and bring the 21-year-old Frenchman to The Emirates.
Arsenal have also been linked with a big-money bid to try to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco this summer but that move is now looking very unlikely, according to Solhekhol.
Wenger is keen to still try to bring Lemar to north London this summer but that deal looks more and more unlikely because of the number of players Monaco have already sold this summer, according to Solhekol.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Monday morning, Solhekol said: “Staying at Arsenal, and the latest on two of their targets – Thomas Lemar and Kylian Mbappe. Both of them played in Monaco’s friendly with PSV on Sunday.
“Arsenal have had big bids for Lemar rejected and Arsene Wenget things Mbappe will stay at Monaco.
“Arsenal are still trying for Lemar but the more players Monaco sell, the less likely this one looks.”
Arsenal have made two signings so far this summer, wrapping up a deal to land left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke and striker Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
The Gunners will be hoping to challenge for the Premier League title next season after having finished in a disappointing fifth place last term.
