The Sky Sports News reporter has claimed that the Blues are set to make a move to try and sign the Argentine striker from Manchester City this summer as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his attacking options.
Solhekol claims that the other players on Chelsea’s radar this summer are Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti.
Chelsea are thought to be keen to bolster their striking options this summer after Diego Costa was reportedly told that he is no longer part of the club’s plans.
Solhekol claims that Chelsea are showing a strong interest in signing the 29-year-old Aguero from Manchester City, but that the Citizens are unlikely to sell the striker to a Premier League rival.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Monday afternoon, Solhekol said: “We’re being told that Chelsea have serious and strong interest in signing the Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
“Those are the words being used to us, ‘serious’ and ‘strong’ interest.
“Of course Chelsea need a replacement for Diego Costa who will be sold this summer.
“They’re looking at Alvaro Morata, Aubameyang, Belotti at Torino and also Sergio Aguero.
“However, just to get Chelsea fans to calm down a bit, I think it will be very, very difficult for Chelsea to get Aguero out of Manchester City.
“I don’t think since the new owners came in at City back in 2008 they’ve ever sold a player they don’t want to sell.
“My information is they do not want to sell Sergio Aguero.”
Chelsea completed their third signing of the summer on Saturday when they confirmed the arrival of midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco on a five-year contract.
