The Premier League champions have been left frustrated in their bid to sign a striker this summer after missing out on top target Romelu Lukaku.
Indeed, Manchester United managed to hijack Chelsea’s deal for Lukaku after the Belgian forward completed a £75m move to Old Trafford.
Chelsea are in the market for a centre-forward after Antonio Conte told Diego Costa that he is free to leave the Premier League champions this summer.
The Blues have now been linked with a bid to sign Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata, although the west London side don’t appear close to concluding a deal for the Spanish star.
Speaking to ESPN FC about the strikers that Conte could target this summer, Serie A expert Marcotti listed three potential additions to bolster their attacking options.
“It’s not like Morata is the only striker for sale in the world,” Marcotti said.
“If you’re talking about strikers who are available and would push for a move, there is Morata, Aubameyang and Belotti. That’s three right there.”
Chelsea won the Premier League title with two games to spare last season after finishing seven points clear of closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The west London side have added Manchester City reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero, AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, and midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in the summer transfer window so far.
