Nemanja Matic wants to leave Chelsea to sign for Manchester United – and is keen to have his future sorted in the next 48 hours, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that Matic has his heart set on a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford following the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The same report claims that Chelsea have told Matic that he can leave Stamford Bridge for £40m this summer but that the Blues would prefer to sell him to Juventus ahead of Manchester United.

However, the player himself is pushing for a reunion with former Chelsea boss Mourinho at Old Trafford and is determined to move to Manchester United this summer.

The story also claims that Manchester United are prepared to give Matic a four-year contract worth £150,000 a week to sign for the Red Devils this summer.

Matic’s future at Chelsea has been cast into doubt following the arrival of Bakayoko from Monaco on Saturday as the French midfielder signed a five-year contract to become the Blues’ third acquisition of the summer.
